Defining Time: Early Mechanical Clocks and Automata, 1300-1600 

Museo Galileo will host Elly Truitt’s talk titled “Defining Time: Early Mechanical Clocks and Automata, 1300-1600”, that will be introduced by Giovanni Di Pasquale, Deputy Scientific Director at Museo Galileo.

Professor Truitt is author of Medieval robots. Mechanism, magic, nature and art (2015), Associate Professor of the History of Science at the University of Pennsylvania, and recent Wallace Term Fellow at Villa I Tatti.
