La Società Italiana di Storia della Scienza (SISS) bandisce il Premio Giovani SISS 2026.

Il Premio è rivolto a giovani studiose e studiosi di età non superiore a 35 anni, che abbiano prodotto ricerche significative nell’ambito della storia delle scienze e delle tecniche.

È richiesto l’invio di un articolo / saggio in rivista (cartacea/on-line) o volume, pubblicato entro il 31 gennaio 2026, su temi di storia delle scienze e delle tecniche, relativi a qualsiasi periodo storico e disciplina scientifica o tecnica.

La Commissione giudicatrice valuterà prodotti di ricerca in lingua italiana, inglese, francese, tedesca, spagnola.

La domanda di partecipazione al Premio Giovani SISS 2026 dovrà essere inviata, entro le ore 23.59 del 30 marzo 2026, all’indirizzo di posta elettronica Questo indirizzo email è protetto dagli spambots. 1. Dichiarazione sostitutiva;

2. Copia di un documento d’identità valido;

3. Copia integrale di un prodotto di ricerca (articolo o saggio pubblicato in volume o rivista cartacea/on-line) in formato PDF;

4. L’assegnazione del Premio Giovani SISS 2026 avrà luogo in occasione del Convegno Nazionale della Società Italiana di Storia della Scienza che si terrà all’Aquila dal 27 al 29 maggio 2026.

SISS Early Career Prize 2026

The Italian Society for the History of Science (SISS) announces the SISS Early Career Prize 2026.

The Prize is aimed at young scholars up to the age of 35 who have produced significant research in the field of the History of science and technology.

Participants must submit an article/essay they have published before 31 January 2026 on a journal (in print or online) or volume, on topics in the History of science and technology, relating to any historical period and scientific or technical discipline.

The Selection Committee will assess research products in Italian, English, French, German and Spanish. The email subject must read: “Participation in the SISS Early Career Prize 2026”.

Applications must include the following attachments:

1. Self declaration;

2. Copy of a valid ID document;

3. Writing sample (an article or essay published in a volume or in a journal, in print or online) in PDF format;

4. Curriculum Vitae Candidates are not required to be members of the SISS, but they are invited to register in order to attend the National Conference and receive information on all cultural and information activities promoted by the Society (https://www.societastoriadellascienza.it/index.php/it/iscriviti)

The SISS Early Career Prize 2026 will be awarded at the National Conference of the Italian Society for the History of Science, to be held in L’Aquila from 27 to 29 May 2026.
